"Frozen Waldorf Salad" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. whipping cream
    2 1/2 c. diced, unpeeled apples
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
    Combine pineapple juice, eggs, sugar, lemon juice and salt.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
    Cool.
    Fold remaining ingredients into cooked mixture.
    Spoon into 8-inch pan.
    Freeze. Cut in squares.
    Makes 8 servings.
