Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail with juice
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 small can Pet milk
    1/2 c. coconut
    1/2 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
Preparation
    Mix flour and sugar; add fruit cocktail and egg and beat until smooth.
    Bake about 30 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 12 x 7 x 2-inch Pyrex pan.
    Let cool partially and cut into squares before putting on topping.
