Beet Pickle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 lb. beets without tops
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. allspice and cloves
    4 (1 1/2-inch) sticks cinnamon
Preparation
    Cook your beets, peel and cut as desired.
    Bring the vinegar and spices to a boil.
    Add beets and let them come to a boil.
    Put in glass jars; pour vinegar mixture over them.
    Seal.
    Makes 4 quarts.
