Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) pkg. uncooked frozen peas
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
    1/2 bunch green onions, sliced with tops
    1/4 c. diced celery
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. salad dressing
    1/4 c. sour cream
    4 oz. cashew nuts, halved
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except cashews; mix well.
    Cover; refrigerate 4 hours or more.
    Add cashews before serving.
    Serve on a bed of lettuce.
    May garnish with sliced black olives, if desired.
    Serves 8 to 10.
