Cherry Pecan Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped (1 c.)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In large mixer bowl, cream together sugar, butter or margarine and eggs until light and fluffy.
Sift together flour, soda and salt;
add to creamed mixture with the buttermilk.
Beat until blended.
Pour batter into greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 55 to 60 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool.
Glaze with confectioners sugar icing.
