Mixed Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. or 1 lb. mixed beans
    2 qt. water
    1 lb. ham, diced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) can chillies and tomatoes
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soak beans in 2 quarts of water overnight.
    Cook beans until almost tender, then add all the other ingredients.
    Cook on low until well done.
