Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/3 c. flour
    3 c. chicken broth
    1 tsp. garlic
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
    1 c. milk
    1 c. half and half
    8 oz. American cheese, cut into pieces
Preparation
    In large saucepan over medium heat, saute onion in margarine for 5 minutes.
    Reduce heat; stir in flour and blend well.
    Stir in chicken broth, garlic and pepper.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
    Add broccoli and milk.
    Simmer 10 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
    Stir in half and half and cheese and cook, stirring until cheese melts.
    Yummy.
