Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/4 lb. margarine
    1 1/2 c. applesauce (1 lb. can)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. broken walnuts
    2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Dissolve baking soda in boiling water; cool.
    Cream sugar and margarine.
    Add egg, applesauce and cooled water and soda mixture. Mix in dry ingredients.
    Stir in nuts and raisins.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
