Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. hot water
    1 c. cold milk
    3 eggs, separated
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. self-rising cornmeal
Preparation
    Pour hot water over cornmeal.
    Add sugar, egg yolks (beaten), melted shortening and last, stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for about 30 minutes.
