Brake Light Cherry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. shortening or butter
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small bottle cherries
    1 c. liquid (juice of cherries plus milk to fill cup)
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. walnut meats, if desired
Preparation
    Mix in order listed and let stand 2 minutes.
    Bake 1 hour in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Makes 1 loaf.
