Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked pie shell
    1 to 1 1/4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and butter melts.
    Let cool slightly.
    Add eggs, vanilla and salt to mixture, stirring well.
    Pour into pastry shell and top with pecan halves. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Yield:
    1 (9-inch) pie.
