Raisin Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. hot water
2 c. seedless raisins
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. lemon or orange extract
Preparation
-
Mix
sugar and cornstarch;
combine with water, raisins and salt;
cook until thickened.
Add butter, lemon juice and extract. Cool slightly and pour into pastry lined pie pan and top with pastry,
plain
or
latticed.
Bake
at
450\u00b0 for 10 minutes, reduce
to
375\u00b0
and
continue
baking
for 25 to 30 minutes. Makes a 9-inch pie.
