Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. quick-cooking oats (uncooked)
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Combine sugars and shortening. Cream well. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats, then chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheet, then remove to finish cooling. Makes about 6 1/2 dozen cookies.
