Aronowitz Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pitted dates, chopped
    1 lb. pecans, chopped
    1 lb. candied fruitcake mix
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients.
    Combine dry ingredients; add to fruit mixture.
    Stir in eggs and vanilla.
    Spoon into greased brown paper lined 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until wooden pick inserted comes out clean.
    Cool completely.
