Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. cocoa
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients in saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until chocolate and sugar dissolves.
Cook until soft ball stage.
Stir occasionally.
Remove from heat.
Add butter; stir until lukewarm, then add vanilla.
Beat until thick and no longer glossy.
Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.
Cut when set.
