Flu Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium potatoes
    water
    1 large diced onion
    1 or 2 cans tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    Mazola, butter or meat grease
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes.
    Cover with water and let them start cooking good; add onion, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
    Season with Mazola, butter or meat grease.
    Cover and simmer about 20 minutes; if too thick, add tomato juice or water.
    My mother's answer to chicken noodle soup when we had colds or flu.
