1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (or butter or margarine)
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    1 can fruit pie filling
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix thoroughly the shortening and sugar. Gradually blend in flour.
    Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
    Spread half of the dough in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cover dough with pie filling.
    Spoon remaining dough over pie filling (it is not necessary to cover all of the pie filling).
    Bake 50 minutes or until golden brown.
