Russian Cheese Babka - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. large curd cream-style cottage cheese
    2 Tbsp. diced candied pineapple
    1/4 c. toasted almonds (optional)
    1 Tbsp. fine shredded lemon peel
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. chopped red candied cherries
    1/4 c. golden raisins
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. fine shredded orange peel
Preparation
    Combine cream cheese, vanilla, butter, cherries, cottage cheese, raisins and pineapple; beat until smooth.
    With a moistened piece of cheesecloth, line a clean flowerpot whole.
    Put in mix; put on a rack to drain in refrigerator overnight or longer.
    Unmold; garnish with candied cherries.
    Serves 6.
