Strawberry Surprise Jello - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
2 c. boiling water
4 oz. chopped pecans
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberry halves
2 large or 3 medium-size bananas
1/2 pt. sour cream
Preparation

Pour gelatin into boiling water.
When granules dissolve, set aside to cool.
Crushed bananas, thawed strawberries and chopped nuts are added to cooled gelatin.
One-half of the mixture is poured into pan and placed in refrigerator to congeal.
Sour cream is spread over congealed gelatin and remainder of mixture is poured on top of sour cream.
Pan is returned to refrigerator until top portion of the salad is congealed.
Serves 6 to 8 persons.
Make in 9-inch square pan.
