Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. White Lily all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. mashed bananas
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture, then add buttermilk.
    Add bananas and pecans last.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until knife inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.
    (Bake bread in loaf pan or Bundt pan.)
