Sara'S Chicken And Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) broiler or 2 small cans chicken
    4 1/2 c. water
    1 onion, quartered
    1 bay leaf
    6 sprigs parsley
    celery tops
    2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
    1 c. diced potatoes
    1 c. diced onions
    1 c. diced green pepper
    1 c. diced carrots
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 envelopes instant chicken broth or 3 Tbsp. chicken base
Preparation
    In a pot, add chicken, water, onion, bay leaf, parsley and celery tops. Cook until tender. Strain. Add all other ingredients and simmer.
