Spice Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. walnuts
2 tsp. baking powder

Preparation

Cream shortening, vanilla and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
