Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. diced apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Mix eggs, oil and vanilla. Add apples and nuts.
Stir until mixed.
Pour into greased, floured tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
Remove from oven. Place in heavy brown paper bag immediately.
Close tightly.
Let stand until cool.
