Easy And Basic Red (Tomato) Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (28 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
    2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
    1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
    4 medium to large onions
    2 large garlic clusters
    1 Tbsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. basil leaves
    1 Tbsp. paprika
    olive oil
    1 Tbsp. chives
    1 Tbsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. cayenne
    any additional spices you desire
    any vegetables (e.g. peppers, mushrooms, etc.) or meat (hamburger) can be added at any time (cook and drain meat)
Preparation
    Basic Mixture:
    In large pan, lightly saute onions and garlic in olive oil.
    Add the tomatoes (i.e. whole, crushed and puree); then add allspice, chives and paprika.
    Simmer on low heat for several hours (the longer the better).
    You may stop here, cool and store (e.g., freeze or refrigerate) for later use or use as directed.
