Chocolate Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. coffee or water
2 c. sugar
6 tsp. cocoa
2 c. Crisco
7 c. flour
3 Tbsp. baking powder
1 box raisins, ground
1 1/2 Tbsp. cloves
2 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts, chopped

Preparation

Melt Crisco; let cool.
Mix together coffee, sugar and cocoa and bring to boil.
Let cool.
Sift flour; add dry ingredients. Add raisins and nuts.
Mix Crisco and sugar; mix well.
Roll into balls as walnut size.
Use sugar icing.
Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
