Griddle Cakes(Pancakes) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. shortening/oil
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Combine well-beaten egg, milk and melted shortening.
    Add liquid ingredients to the dry, stirring only until smooth.
    Do not overmix; the batter will/should look slightly lumpy.
    Stir by hand.
    Bake on hot griddle, wiped generously with shortening/oil.
