English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1/2 lb. butter or 2 sticks margarine
3 Tbsp. water
4 to 6 plain Hershey bars
finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Place sugar, butter or margarine and water in large, heavy pan. Cook for 10 minutes on very high flame until mixture turns golden brown, stirring constantly.
Pour on lightly buttered cookie sheet and quickly spread Hershey bars over hot base.
Sprinkle with finely chopped pecans.
Cool and break into pieces.
