Creamy Apple Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. softened oleo
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 to 4 apples, sliced thin (I use McIntosh and peel them)
1 c. sour cream
1 egg or 1/4 c. imitation eggs

Preparation

Combine cake mix and oleo.
Mix until crumbly.
Reserve 2/3 cup for topping.
Add brown sugar and cinnamon to the reserved topping and mix well.
Add chopped nuts, if desired.
