Cherry Coffeecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine or butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3 c. flour
    1 can cherry pie filling (other fruits can be used)
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and butter with electric mixer.
    Add eggs and flavorings.
    Beat until fluffy.
    Add flour and baking powder; mix until smooth.
    Place 2/3 of the batter in a greased 10 x 15 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
    Spread evenly.
    Place the pie filling evenly over the batter.
    Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over pie filling.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Drizzle with icing made of 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk while warm.
