Molasses Crinkle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. Brer Rabbit (green label) molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a 3 or 4-quart saucepan over low heat. Cool.
    Add sugar, molasses and egg and beat well.
    Sift together rest of dry ingredients.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix well.
    Chill. Form into 1-inch balls.
    Roll in sugar and place on greased cookie sheets 2 inches apart.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
