Griddle Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. of sugar
    1 tsp. of salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    2 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients.
    Beat egg, add milk, and pour slowly on first mixture.
    Beat thoroughly.
    Add butter, drop by spoonful on a greased hot griddle.
    Cook on one side, when puffed and full of bubbles and cooked on the edges, turn and cook other side.
    Then spread with butter and maple syrup.
