Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
1 c. flour (all-purpose)
7 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa, divided
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 1/4 c. hot water
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a medium size mixing bowl, combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons of cocoa, baking powder and salt. Blend in milk, melted butter and vanilla.
Beat until smooth. Pour batter into square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch or 9 x 9 x 2-inch).
