Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 bag (14 oz.) caramels
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. canned milk (evaporated)
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix cake batter as directed on package.
    Put 1/2 of the batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with butter and milk.
    Pour over hot half-baked cake.
    Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour rest of batter over caramels; bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes longer.
