Chocolate Covered Cherries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) can or jar maraschino cherries (with stems), drained
    1 lb. confectioners sugar
    1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. heavy cream
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    2 (10 oz.) sq. bitter chocolate (unsweetened)
    1/2 c. chocolate bits
    1 1/2-inch sq. paraffin wax
Preparation
    Melt all three ingredients in a double boiler.
    Dip each cherry (twice, if desired) in chocolate.
