Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. flour
    pinch of salt
    4 c. milk
    4 eggs, separated
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    2 tsp. vanilla
    10 oz. vanilla wafers
    4 or 5 bananas
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup sugar, flour and salt in a large saucepan.
    Blend in 2 cups of the milk.
    Heat over moderate heat, stirring often to prevent scalding.
    Beat egg yolks into remaining 2 cups of milk and stir into hot milk mixture.
    Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Add margarine and vanilla.
    Cool completely.
