White House Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 well beaten eggs
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. walnuts (black preferred)
    3/4 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add eggs, raisins, walnuts, hot water and vanilla.
    Line 12 or 16 patty shells with pastry.
    Fill and bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 about 40 minutes.
