Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. drained crushed pineapple
1 egg, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Set oven to 425\u00b0.
Cream shortening and the brown and white sugars. Add pineapple and egg to the cream mixture.
Add the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda to mixture. Add vanilla and walnuts to
mixture.
Drop by level teaspoon on greased or sprayed cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
