Date Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
2 c. sugar
3 c. chopped dates
4 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. nuts, chopped fine
4 c. Rice Krispies
flaked coconut
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients; cook slowly in an iron skillet at 350\u00b0 for about 15 minutes, or until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
Cool slightly.
Shape into balls with buttered hands.
Roll in coconut. Keep in a cool place.
Yield:
50 balls.
