Oven Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 egg
1 Tbsp. water
3 medium sized green tomatoes, sliced in 1/4 inch thick slices
Preparation

Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Combine cornmeal, salt and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
Beat egg and water together in another bowl. Dip tomato slices first in egg and then dredge in cornmeal.
Place tomato layers in baking dish using only enough vegetable cooking spray to keep tomatoes from sticking.
Bake 20 minutes and turn with spatula and bake 20 more minutes.
