Ingredients

3 c. cooked, diced beets
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch.
Add vinegar and water; stir until smooth. Cook for 5 minutes. Add beets to the hot sauce and let stand for 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter. Makes 6 servings.
