Sloppier Joes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. hamburger
1 large onion, diced
1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
8 hamburger buns
6 slices bacon, diced and fried crisp
1/2 c. grated American cheese
Preparation

Brown the hamburger until it is all broken apart.
Add the diced onion and cook until it is glazed. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 25 minutes without a cover. Stir from time to time to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and place a heaping spoonful of the meat mixture on the bottom of each hamburger bun (set aside the tops temporarily).
Sprinkle with the crisp bacon, then top with the grated cheese.
Place under the broiler until the cheese is melted.
Cover with bun tops and serve.
