Wafer Thins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shredded extra sharp Cheddar cheese
    4 Tbsp. butter/margarine, softened
    1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    pinch of cayenne pepper
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, combine butter and cheese with a fork, then blend in flour and pepper by hand.
    Roll mixture into 1-inch balls.
    Place on buttered 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch baking pan and flatten with heel of your hand until balls are about 1/4-inch thick.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven uncovered for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
    Cool on rack.
    Makes 12 wafers.
