Ingredients

1 1/2 c. seedless raisins
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (Crisco)
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cook raisins in water until water is gone.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Add cooled raisins.
Blend in sifted dry ingredients.
Drop by teaspoonful on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes about six dozen cookies.
