Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. okra
    1/2 c. meal
    2 beaten eggs
    salt to taste
    shortening
Preparation
    Cut large okra in 1-inch or more slices.
    Sprinkle with meal. Dip in egg and meal again (roll or shake in bag).
    Fry in shortening.
    Drain on paper towels.
