Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    7 Tbsp. cocoa
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. Spry or Crisco
    2 eggs, unbeaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup
    1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
Preparation
    Sift first 5 ingredients into mixing bowl.
    Add shortening, eggs, vanilla and corn syrup.
    Mix ingredients for 2 minutes on low speed of mixer.
    Scrape bowl and beaters during mixing.
    Stir in nuts.
    Spread batter in greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into 16 to 18 bars.
