A Variation Of Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. flour or 1/4 c. cornstarch
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. milk
    3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix the flour, sugar and salt together.
    Gradually add milk. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens, then cook 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add small amount of egg yolks into mixture and cook 1 minute.
    Add butter and flour.
    Cool slightly. Pour in shell.
