Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large green tomatoes
    2 c. plain cornmeal
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    pepper
    1/2 c. oil
Preparation
    Boil fresh yams in skin until just fork-tender.
    Peel when cool.
    Slice lengthwise in half and into serving pieces.
    Put in glass baking dish (metal works, but glass is easier to clean).
