Apples And Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 sweet potatoes
4 large and juicy apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1/2 to 1 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. hot water
1/2 c. honey
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes in water until almost tender.
Peel and slice when cooled.
Alternate layers of sliced potatoes and apples, beginning with sweet potatoes and ending with apples. Cover each layer with some of the sugar and bits of butter.
On top layer of apples, sprinkle remaining brown sugar and butter. Then sprinkle nutmeg.
Mix hot water and honey and pour evenly over top.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for 1/2 to 3/4 hours or until apples and potatoes are tender.
Delicious with ham or turkey.
