Golden Tomato Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow pear tomatoes
    boiling water
    3 c. sugar
    juice of 2 oranges
    grated rind of 1 orange
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    2 lemons, thinly sliced
Preparation
    Select
    fully ripe tomatoes;
    cover with boiling water. Let stand a
    few
    seconds, then drain and dip into cold water. Peel carefully
    and
    place in layers in bowl, sprinkling sugar over each
    layer.
    Cover
    and
    let
    stand
    overnight
    (keep in refrigerator).
    Drain
    off juice and sugar and heat to boiling with orange
    juice,
    orange
    rind
    and lemon rind.
    Boil until syrup spins
    a
    thread.
    Add tomatoes and sliced lemons.
    Cook until syrup
    is thick.
    Pour into sterile jelly jars and seal. Place in boiling water bath for 25 minutes.
