Broccoli Cheddar Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. milk
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter.
    Blend in flour and salt; gradually add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Add cheese and broccoli.
    Stir until cheese is melted.
    Makes 6 (1/2 cup) servings.
